Our Approach to Therapy

At COVE, our first priority is creating a space where clients feel safe, supported, and able to show up as they are. We help individuals and couples build self-awareness, develop a sense of agency, and clarify what’s within their control as they move toward greater peace and alignment in their lives. We also focus on understanding the patterns that shape clients’ relationships with themselves and others, helping them cultivate resilience, deepen connection, and move through life with greater authenticity. Our work is collaborative and practical, helping clients understand themselves more deeply, navigate challenges with intention, and find solutions that support their overall well-being and sense of wholeness.

Tiana Malhiot

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

CA LMFT 133869

I see individuals & couples presenting with a variety of needs. I aim to support my clients in overcoming barriers related to mental health and personal/family history. Working collaboratively, I guide my clients as they learn more about themselves and their patterns. We process relevant events and discuss strategies to promote growth and healing in targeted areas to increase overall wellbeing.

I often use ACT & EFT; with compassion, humor, mindfulness and authenticity, I meet clients exactly where they are in the present moment- free of judgement. I try to instill hope and encourage realistic, meaningful change for each client I have the honor to work with. The environment is designed to promote a sense of calmness & safety as we navigate internal or relational turbulence & discomfort.

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

CA AMFT 156732

I’m passionate about supporting growth and healing through self-awareness and authentic connection. I help clients understand and shift patterns that leave them feeling disconnected, building more meaningful relationships and a stronger sense of self-worth. I view therapy as a collaborative process that helps people navigate challenges, strengthen resilience, reduce shame, and lead lives that feel purposeful, connected, and aligned with their values.

I draw from evidence-based modalities such as Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and attachment theory, while integrating mindfulness and self-compassion. I work with individuals and couples navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, life transitions, negative religious experiences, sexual and relational struggles, self-esteem, and more.
